May 30, 2000 Everyone is home safely, and we're all still riding high from the chase. Thanks so much for sharing it with us, and for the many, many kind comments, letters, and encouragement while we were in the field. We finally got our web page updated, and I invite you all to take a look at the finished product at www.mcwar.org in the GALLERY under Chase 2000. Allan did a fine job with the pics... some are incredible even for him. At this time, we don't know when the documentary on the team will be shown, or if it will be shown in this country, but we'll keep you posted. It was great having Eric (Ryboprod, inc.) along. He pitched in and helped as a true team member, but he was ever diligent with the camera. Makes me wish I had brought makeup. Old friendships were renewed, new friendships were forged, and we did our level-headed best to report honestly, accurately, and as expediently as possible. Anyone who wishes to view the newsletters can do so at www.mcwar.org in the GALLERY (with the new pix) under Chase 2000. Eric asked on camera, "Will you go again next year?" I answered, "When we're old and gray and chasing in wheel chairs, with one hand holding an anemometer and the other holding our teeth in place... we'll be here" Special thanks to Rob Lafferty, Greg Gould, and Jeremy Miller, Chris Merrill, and Jason Breakiron for their remote data assistance, and to our husbands, wives, kids, and/or parents for putting up with this obsession. And special thanks to all of you for allowing us to share a bit of our venture. Nancy Bose MESO (www.mcwar.org)
